The coal terminal in the port of Ust-Luga

Today it is the most modern port technological complex for coal reload. The coal terminal can process up to 350 carriages per day, at a full exit to design capacity - to 700 carriages

On January 24, 2006 in a festive atmosphere in the presence of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin second turn acceptance test of the coal terminal in commercial seaport Ust-Luga started. The general designer of the terminal is JSC Lenmorniiproekt.

Purpose of the terminal – coal storage and reload.

The terminal is optimized for reception of vessels – bulkers with deadweight up to 50 thousand tons, and after performance of dredging works to -16.0 m it will be possible to accept vessels with deadweight of 70 thousand tons.

Goods turnover of the terminal launch area – up to 1 million tons per year, upon full development – up to 8 million tons.

Capacity of the second turn of the complex - 4 million tons of coal a year.
