Oil loading port Primorsk
The terminal of the light-oil products reload, 2003-2005

Specialized sea oil loading port Primorsk design with the capacity of 65 million tons a year is the terminal point of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) intended for export of the Russian crude oil from the fields of the Timano-Pechorsky region, Western Siberia and the Ural-Volga region. The complex is located in deep-water part of the passage Björkösund (Gulf of Finland) in 150 km from St. Petersburg.

On the territory of the port 4 moorings each 17.8 meters at wall deep function. The port admits vessels with deadweight of up to 150 thousand tons. Lenmorniiproekt developed design and estimate documentation of the first stage of complex objects for the shipment of 12 million tons of oil a year and further expansion for transportation of 65 million tons of oil a year. On March 7, 2006 in the port Primorsk there took place the start-up ceremony of the Baltic Pipeline System on design capacity of 50 million tons of oil a year, and in July, 2007 - on design capacity of 65 million tons.

On the territory of the port 4 moorings each 17.8 meters at wall deep function. Commissioning of new facilities on the terminal in Primorsk port gives the chance to accept at the same time 4 tankers with the displacement of 150 thousand tons. Implementation of the BPS project allows to receive economically effective export route for oil delivery from the fields of Timano-Pechersky, West Siberian and Ural-Volga region to the main center of oil trade and processing in Europe – Rotterdam.
