From the very first days of its origin (1885) the company resolved the conceptual issues of the Russia’s ports development.
In the early 1990s due to the fact of collapse of the USSR there was a need for construction of new port capacities and in 1992 JSC Lenmorniiproekt developed “The Baltic transport and technological port complex construction concept". According to this project in 2001 the new ports in the Gulf of Finland – Primorsk and Ust-Luga were put into operation".
In recent years the company developed the master plans of ports development: The St. Petersburg port junction point (The large port of St. Petersburg), Primorsk, Ust-Luga, Vyborg, Vysotsk, Murmansk, Tuapse, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Ventspils, Riga, Vanino, the OJSC Petrolesport development concept till 2010.
Among the works of 2005 addressing the problems of transport at regional level are: The master plan concept and master plan of St. Petersburg development. The section " The Sea Transport Development " and Master plan of transport and technological port complexes development in the Gulf of Finland updating.
In March, 2008 JSC Lenmorniiproekt began work on the preliminary feasibility study on the "Development of the Arkhangelsk Seaport Deep-water Area" project. Model of the Arkhangelsk seaport deep-water area (model size: 1,5x1.5 m).
